About

ADLUCEO
My name is Paul Kelly and I am the Owner and Principal Consultant of Adluceo Consulting Ltd.

After a 30-year career in corporate life, my passion is for helping others to apply systems thinking to today's complex challenges in supply chains and all kinds of service operations. This is the driving force behind Adluceo Consulting and the Adluceo approach.

My passion is for both consulting as a helping profession and for the use of system thinking to help leaders, teams and organisations make the changes that make a difference.

I am a Systems Activist who uses systems thinking to help organisations change for the better.
I work with a small team of other consultants who I trust and who share my ethos but are able to bring different skills and perspectives.

Working with their expertise and experience enriches my thinking and helps me deliver to clients services that can meet their needs.

One consultant I would especially highlight and would recommend if you want to have a conversation about Storytelling and how it can be applied in a business context is Vikki Kirby -  https://www.linkedin.com/in/vikki-kirby/
Her website address is https://www.vibratoconsulting.com/

Working with Vikki has enriched my understanding of this topic and demonstrated to me how Storytelling can be used to help understand, elicit insights and communicate compelling messages in a way that resonates with everybody.

In the field of Strategy and Strategic Leadership I would especially recommend Ian Barratt. His LinkedIn profile is https://www.linkedin.com/in/ianbarratt/

Ian has many years of experience in a variety of sectors working with CEOs and boards including membership bodies and public and 3rd sector organisations. His experience in helping boards to review, renew and reset their strategy and link that strategy with operational realities makes him a valuable partner and one with whom it is well worth connecting to start a conversation.
How I work

Relationships matter
I start by spending time with you to understand your goals & then:
• Design an approach that fits the organisation's needs & culture
• Combine various system methods to understand situations better & diagnose issues
• Use simple models & stories to identify desirable & feasible actions
• Focus on people, process & purpose with a desire to make work more rewarding
• Engage with stakeholders
• Stick with you to make your strategy happen

In my experience meeting you (and your teams) face to face is a great way to build this kind of relationship and although virtual meetings or by phone can work I am always happy to arrange to come and visit you.

Systems Thinking
Methodologies, tools and models are part of the toolkit but it is the principles behind them and the experience of what, when and how to apply them that is more important.
My overriding philosophy is that applying Systems Thinking to complex issues is the best way to help move an organisation forward. This means:
• Thinking holistically (don't see problems as isolated challenges but diagnose them in the context of the larger system in which they are found)
• Embracing complexity and ambiguity
• Focussing on the system - help to see, help to decide, help to act
• Exploring the Why (purpose), as well as the What, When, Who and How
• Recognising & valuing different perspectives
• Believing that those working in the system are the best placed to understand it and change it

Working with you, not to you
I enjoy working collaboratively, and believe that developing solutions jointly is both more productive, sustainable and enjoyable!
